In December 2007, Mercer acquired HÃÂ¶fer Vorsorge-Management, one of GermanyÃ¢ÂÂs leading actuarial and retirement consulting firms. The acquisition gave Mercer the top market position in Germany, extending its employee base and adding offices in Berlin, Karlsruhe, Leipzig, MÃÂ¼lheim and Wiesbaden.
