DAVE MAKARCHUK, PARTNER Dave combines his actuarial and investment expertise to help plan sponsors set their investment policy, resolve asset-liability issues, enhance investment structures and select/evaluate investment managers. Dave advises sponsors of both defined benefit and defined contribution plans, as well as a variety of non-pension institutional funds. Dave is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Society of Actuaries, as well as a CFA Charterholder. He earned a bachelor of science (actuarial science) and a bachelor of commerce (finance) from the University of Calgary. |

JP PROVOST, SENIOR PARTNER Prior to this role, JP was based in New York and led Mercer’s International Consulting business globally. He has worked in Canada, Europe and the United States. In various previous roles, he has assisted multinationals optimize their retirement and benefits programs and spending. He has had the opportunity to work with many fortune 500 companies. JP is participating in a series of committees aimed at progressing the development and the awareness of the retirement agenda across a series of countries. He is passionate about technology and learning from others. JP graduated from Laval University with a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. |

TERESA PALANDRA, PARTNER Teresa has 20 years of consulting experience. She consults to a wide range of clients in different industries with varying plan types, across various jurisdictions of registration. Her expertise is in the funding, financial management, design, and administration of pension plans. Teresa graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto where she earned a Bachelor of Science. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. |
