TODD MCLEAN, PARTNER
With close to thirty years of consulting experience, Todd has worked with a broad cross section of clients in all industries and sectors. He’s provided advice and support to clients in many areas including management, total rewards, employee benefits, communications and change management. Prior to joining Mercer, Todd was managing principal for one of Canada’s largest privately-owned actuarial and HR consulting firms and served as an executive for a large Canadian insurance company. In addition, Todd’s past entrepreneurial pursuits have included serving as mentor, director and investor in a number of start-up companies, primarily technology-related, within the realm of health, wellness, finance and professional development.
ALYSSA HARITON, PRINCIPAL
Alyssa provides actuarial advice to clients on all aspects of the funding, design and operation of, and accounting for, retirement benefit plans, including financial management, plan documentation, regulatory requirements and communication with plan members.
Alyssa is a member of Mercer’s Actuarial Resource Network as well as the firm’s Professional Standards and Training Committee.
Alyssa is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. She earned an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics (1999) in pure and applied mathematics at the University of Waterloo, winning the K.D. Fryer Medal.
DAVE MAKARCHUK, PARTNER
Dave combines his actuarial and investment expertise to advise plan sponsors on setting investment policy, resolving asset/liability issues, enhancing investment structures and selecting and evaluating investment managers. Dave advises sponsors of both defined benefit and defined contribution plans as well as a variety of non-pension institutional funds.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Science) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from the University of Calgary. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and of the Society of Actuaries and is a CFA charterholder.
