Senior Partner, Prairie Region Office Leader, Mercer Canada
Brian is a Senior Partner and Regional Office Leader for Mercer Canada Prairie Region. He is the leader of the Calgary office and represents the Vancouver, Prairie, Winnipeg, and London Growth Teams on the Canadian Leadership Team. Brian’s main responsibilities are to drive business success in the Prairie region and support the business success of the other four Canadian Growth Teams through the development of Mercer clients and people. In addition, he also serves as Client Manager for many of Mercer Canada's key client engagements.
Brian has contributed to the strong success of Mercer Canada through the retention, growth and generation of clients across all business lines.
Brian's background resides in the design and management of traditional and flexible employee benefit programs. Upon graduating from University in 1985, Brian worked with a major insurance company as a financial underwriter. In 1990, Brian began his consulting career where he has provided advice to a number of major private sector companies in retail, manufacturing, finance, professional service, mining and energy. Brian has also worked with public utilities, education institutions and non-profit organizations.
Brian is a strong supporter of Alpine Ski Racing and holds a Level III Officials Alpine Ski Racing Certification. For many years, he has also supported and served as Section Chair of the United Way of Calgary Finance and Insurance Division.
Brian holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Western Ontario specializing in Economics. He has also completed Sales Management at the Queen’s University School of Business and Kellogg Management School, Northwestern University.
